Over PLN 178k from WFOŚiGW Lublin for Green Projects

WFOŚiGW in Lublin awarded Lublin environmental grants totalling PLN 178,180 for energy efficiency, nature protection and volunteer firefighters.

The Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Lublin signed grants exceeding 178,000 zł to boost local projects. The Lublin environmental grants support energy savings, nature protection and volunteer firefighters.

Lublin environmental grants: energy efficiency investments

The fund allocated 64,380 zł for energy efficiency upgrades across local buildings. Specifically, the parish of Saints Peter and Paul in Tomaszowice received 24,380 zł. Moreover, the religious house in Pliszczyn obtained 40,000 zł. Consequently, these upgrades will reduce energy use and cut carbon emissions. In addition, the work should improve building comfort and lower utility bills.

Education and nature protection

The fund awarded 65,300 zł to education and biodiversity projects. For example, the community culture centre in Kłoczew got 5,300 zł. Furthermore, Niedrzwica Duża received 15,000 zł for local ecological education in 2026. Moreover, bird conservation groups won larger grants. The “Chance for Stork” association obtained 20,000 zł to help white storks. In addition, the For Nature Foundation got 25,000 zł to study cranes near Polesie National Park. Therefore, the region will better monitor key species and habitats.

Support for Volunteer Fire Brigades

The remaining funds strengthened local volunteer fire brigades. OSP Majdan Krasieniński secured 5,050 zł for personal protective equipment. In addition, OSP Wólka Ratajska received 23,250 zł for equipment upgrades. Moreover, OSP Maśluchy won 5,200 zł for protective gear. The OSP in Charlejów obtained 15,000 zł to buy alarm systems and firefighting tools. Consequently, these purchases will raise operational readiness. Therefore, emergency responses should become faster and safer for residents.

The total package equals 178,180 zł. Moreover, the allocations combine infrastructure, education and safety measures. Consequently, the fund advances sustainable development goals for the Lublin region. Furthermore, the moves align with national climate and resilience targets.
