Two Warsaw districts entered the Warsaw paid parking zone on September 7. Consequently, the city installed 46 new parking meters. Moreover, officials already study a further expansion toward Bielany.

The city placed 29 machines on Odolany in Wola. In addition, it set 17 meters near Międzynarodowa on Saska Kępa in Praga-Południe. Together, the devices now cover roughly 1,500 parking bays. Council members disagree over further expansion. An opposition councillor argues the policy plays to local self-interest. However, coalition councillors defend the approach. They say organic expansion solves spillover parking. For example, Saska Kępa residents asked to join the zone after neighbours started filling their streets. As a result, the city sees local demand drive many additions. Nevertheless, the final vote for Bielany will follow studies and consultations, and the council will decide later.
