The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy announced plans to change rules. For example, the ministry may require ZUS to inform insured people about overpayments. In addition, they suggest a five-year window to seek refunds for excess payments. However, the ministry has not set a date for the new rules. Therefore affected people wait for clearer protections and predictable procedures.
