Ryki Ocean Party: Children’s Day 2026

Ryki Children’s Day Ocean Party on May 31 offers free concerts, foam party and family activities in Ryki’s manor-park, starting 13:00.

Ryki Children’s Day will transform the manor and park grounds in Ryki into a colourful family festival on Sunday, May 31, 2026, starting at 13:00. Moreover, admission is free and the town invites families to its Ocean Party themed celebration.

Program and main attractions

The event opens at 13:00 and runs through the afternoon. Children and youth from local schools will perform on stage. In addition, soloists from the music school and groups from the Centre for Culture and Sport will present dance and gymnastics. Consequently, audiences will see ensembles from nearby Dęblin joining the programme. The schedule also includes a karate demonstration by Lubelski Klub Karate Tsunami. Moreover, the band Face2Face will play an artistic set for families. Organisers will hold a painting contest called “Dream Ocean Adventure” and announce winners during the festival. In addition, they will host a costume contest and an ocean-themed parade for kids.

Activities and practical details

Organisers set up inflatables, face painting, braid stands, and live mascots. Children can enjoy balloon giveaways and games with prizes. Therefore, parents should prepare for a busy afternoon and expect many stations. Furthermore, a dedicated gastronomic area will sell refreshments and snacks. At 17:00 the programme ends with a Piana Party, a popular foam party for children. The mayor, Jarosław Żaczek, the Gmina Ryki council, and the Centre for Culture and Sport organise the festival. Consequently, local volunteers will assist with logistics and safety.

Ryki Children’s Day: Why it matters

Ryki sits in Lublin Voivodeship and serves as a small-town hub for surrounding villages. Therefore, community events like this build local ties and attract visitors. For expats, the festival offers an easy way to meet neighbours and practise Polish in a relaxed setting. Moreover, it provides insight into local government functions because the “gmina” organises public services. (A gmina equals a municipality; it handles local schools, utilities, and some permits.)

💡 GOOD TO KNOW: If you attend with children, carry identification and health information. In Poland, residents use a PESEL number for registrations and records. (PESEL is the national ID number.) Health coverage falls under the NFZ for insured residents. (NFZ is the public health fund.) If you work here, social security contributions go to ZUS. (ZUS manages pensions and benefits.) Keep some złoty cash; however cards usually work at food stalls. Consequently, take sun protection and comfortable shoes for the park.

Local media partner lublin112.pl supports the event and promotes safety reminders. Moreover, organisers recommend arriving early to find parking and to join children’s activities before the Piana Party. Finally, the festival gives families a free, creative space to celebrate ahead of Poland’s national Children’s Day on June 1.
