Prosecutors in Płock have opened an investigation into alleged home escort agencies operating across central Poland. Consequently, police arrested five people in a probe into pimping and large-scale drug trafficking.

However, the women face restrictions. They must obey contact bans and travel limits. In Poland, pimping (sutenerstwo) can carry up to ten years in prison. The prosecutors estimate the domestic operations served about 100 women over two years. Consequently, authorities say the scheme produced significant profits for organisers.
