The government confirmed details of the 14th pension 2026 and the full amount for eligible retirees. Consequently, the full gross payment will be 1978.49 zł and many seniors will receive it automatically.
14th pension 2026: Who will get the full amount?
Poland will pay the benefit to pensioners and disability pension recipients through ZUS (the Social Insurance Institution). Moreover, the full payment will go to people whose gross pension or disability pension does not exceed 2,900 zł. In addition, the announced gross amount is 1978.49 zł. Therefore, the estimated net payment will be about 1,800 zł. However, net amounts vary with tax status and other income.
How the payment is calculated and examples
The government set a one-for-one reduction rule. Consequently, for each złoty above the 2,900 zł threshold authorities reduce the benefit by one złoty. For example, someone with a 3,000 zł gross pension will get 1,878.49 zł gross. Moreover, a person on 3,500 zł will receive 1,378.49 zł gross. In addition, someone on 4,000 zł gets 878.49 zł gross. Therefore, the benefit falls smoothly until it reaches a minimum.
Minimum payment, limit and practical notes
The minimum gross payment equals 50 zł. Consequently, the benefit stops once a pension exceeds around 4,828 zł gross. Moreover, above that level no payment will apply. In addition, no application will be necessary. ZUS will pay automatically by the same method as a basic pension. Therefore, recipients will see the money on their bank account or as a postal transfer.
Timing and administration
The ministry will set the exact date in regulation. However, the most likely month is September. Consequently, many retirees may receive the extra payment together with their regular pension. Moreover, ZUS handles the payment nationally and local ZUS offices can answer individual questions. In addition, keep documentation like your bank details and PESEL (national ID number) updated with ZUS.
