Court sentenced the driver in the Wislostrada crash to 15 years. Prosecutors sought 19 years and will appeal.

The Wislostrada crash last July left a father and his 13-year-old son dead. Consequently, a Warsaw court sentenced the driver to a total of 15 years in prison.

The ruling came almost exactly one year after the collision on Wybrzeże Gdyńskie. Moreover, prosecutors had requested 19 years and announced an appeal.

What the court decided in the Wislostrada crash case

The court found 25-year-old Dawid F. guilty of causing a fatal accident and fleeing the scene. In addition, the judge convicted him for driving while a court ban barred him from driving.
