Rzeszów secured millions in outside funds to upgrade roads and rail links. Moreover, the city announced faster and more frequent trains to Warsaw under a Rzeszów infrastructure investment plan. Therefore, city leaders say the risk they took paid off for residents.

Risk paid off

Mayor Konrad Fijołek said the city chose to build a key road despite uncertain funding. In addition, he argued the eastern districts needed the route urgently. Consequently, officials opened ul. płk. Officials promised improvements to rail service as well. In addition, they described work on a so-called central corridor.
