Lublin Youth Advance to PCK Health Final
Young contestants from Lublin region won regional rounds and will compete in the PCK Health Olympiad national final.
The PCK Health Olympiad drew bright young contenders from across Lublin Voivodeship this spring. Local winners will now head to the national final in Łódź.
PCK Health Olympiad regional results and format
The regional stage tested students on healthy living and environmental awareness. Moreover, participants answered a 50-question exam. In addition, they presented community health projects. Consequently, judges evaluated both knowledge and practical impact. The contest encourages healthy habits early. Therefore, organisers stress prevention over punishment.
What happened in Lublin and who won
The Lublin district drew students who passed school and municipal rounds. Winners included Julita Karolak from Dereźnia Solska and Izabela Kot from Hrubieszów. Moreover, Izabela won the secondary schools category for the second time. Consequently, she will represent the region at the May final in Łódź. In addition, other top finishers came from Łuków, Zamość and Chodel. Judges praised thoughtful projects on youth mental health. Therefore, many teams proposed stress management tools and daily routines. However, the work stood out for being practical and local.
Why this matters for expats and the wider community
The competition addresses child and adolescent mental health. Moreover, it promotes nutrition and physical activity. As a result, schools adopt better preventive measures. In addition, young people become local advocates. Consequently, communities gain low-cost, scalable solutions. For expat families, this matters because schools often run these projects citywide. Therefore, your child may join similar initiatives quickly. However, access depends on school enrolment and local registration.
Organisers stressed long-term goals. Moreover, they argued that habits formed in youth reduce future health costs. Judges included dietitians and local health professionals. Therefore, students received practical feedback. In addition, the competition builds civic skills like teamwork and planning. Consequently, teachers reported improved engagement and real community benefit.
Regional winners Julita Karolak and Izabela Kot will attend the national final on May 15–17, 2026, in Łódź. Moreover, they will present refined community projects. Therefore, Lublin Voivodeship expects solid representation. In addition, the event highlights how schools can lead in public health promotion.
