Government Gives 600 PLN Holiday Voucher — 7 Days Only

The government launches a pilot tourism voucher Poland program giving 300-600 PLN to seniors and large families. Act fast: codes expire in seven days.

The government launched a pilot tourism voucher Poland program offering 300 to 600 PLN per person for autumn stays. However, the scheme limits use to four voivodeships and gives participants only seven days to redeem their code.

Who qualifies and what the cash covers

The ministry targets seniors aged 60 and over and holders of the Large Family Card (Karta Dużej Rodziny). In addition, the subsidy covers stays of at least two nights. Moreover, the pilot runs only from September through November 2026. Therefore, day trips and one-night bookings remain ineligible. The ministry placed the money directly with participating accommodations. Consequently, the hotel or guesthouse receives the subsidy, not the traveller.

How the pilot limits cash and regions

The program includes only Lublin, Podkarpackie, Podlaskie and Warmian-Masurian voivodeships. These areas include Mazury, Bieszczady and Roztocze. However, the government excluded Tatra, Karkonosze, Tricity and Warsaw. The ministry picked the regions deliberately. After the war in Ukraine, tourism near the eastern border collapsed. Therefore, officials aim to rebuild demand and support local businesses. The total pilot budget stands at 6 million PLN. At 600 PLN per voucher, sponsors can fund roughly 10,000 stays. Consequently, the cash will disappear fast each round.

How to get and use the code

The ministry will open a platform and a mobile app before September. In addition, each eligible person must submit a short declaration online. For seniors they confirm age, and for families they confirm an active Karta Dużej Rodziny. Importantly, the system gives each user only one code. Moreover, participants must redeem that code within seven days. Therefore, you should secure a qualifying room before you generate a code. Otherwise, you risk losing your one chance. The ministry will split funds into three short rounds. Consequently, people who wait will likely miss the cash.

Registration rules for hotels

Hotels, guesthouses and agritourism farms must register separately. The registration deadline ends on June 18, 2026. In addition, the ministry will publish a list of participating properties before September. Therefore, check that list before you generate any code. If your chosen property did not register, you will waste the voucher. Moreover, each approved property must confirm the stay and the ministry will transfer the subsidy directly.

💡 GOOD TO KNOW: If you are an expat, check eligibility carefully. The Large Family Card is for Polish families only. In addition, many foreigners do not hold a PESEL (national ID number) or a Karta Dużej Rodziny. Therefore, non-Polish residents must confirm their ability to register on the platform. Also note that the subsidy goes to the accommodation, not to you. Finally, keep a printed or saved code and confirm the hotel’s participation before generating it. (PESEL = national ID number, ZUS = social security agency, NFZ = public health insurer, mandat = fine.)

In practice, the pilot can help expats aged 60 and over who already hold PESEL. However, the program will not help most families who plan to visit popular resorts. Therefore, act with a plan. First, pick a registered property from the ministry list. Second, reserve your dates. Third, generate the code and book within seven days. Otherwise, you will likely miss the cash.
