Aldi ends weekend with big discounts

Aldi weekend deals include pork shoulder at 7.99 zł/kg, butter at 3.49 zł and several 1+1 promotions. Check dates and shelf labels.

Aldi weekend deals wrap up on Saturday, 3 October, with heavy discounts on basic groceries and several buy-one-get-one offers. Shoppers can find pork shoulder, butter and bananas at notably lower prices, but some bargains end that day.

Major price cuts and exact numbers to watch

The chain reduced the price of pork shoulder to 7,99 zł per kilogram from 13,49 zł per kilogram. That saves 5,50 zł on each kilo. Buying 2 kg would cost 15,98 zł instead of 26,98 zł. The butter deal applies to Masło Łaciate 200 g priced at 3,49 zł per pack when you buy two. Two packs therefore cost 6,98 zł. Bananas fall to 3,49 zł per kilogram from 6,99 zł per kilogram, a saving of 3,50 zł per kilo. Two kilograms of bananas cost 6,98 zł instead of 13,98 zł.

1+1 and bulk freebie promotions explained

Aldi also runs several 1+1 free offers. Tchibo Exclusive coffee 500 g comes with a second pack free under the promotion. The same mechanism applies to Foxy Tornado products. These deals effectively halve the price when two equal items qualify. The promotion list also includes Lyttos Greek olive oil and Kokett toilet paper with a 1+1 free format. In one striking offer, customers get 4+4 free on oil refills. There you pay for four and take eight. Before you buy, confirm the exact formats and gram weights in the aisle.

Aldi weekend deals: timing and shopping tips

The weekend brochure runs from 1 to 3 October, so Saturday is the last valid day for many promotions. Not every offer ends at the same time, however. Some prices depend on purchasing a specific number of items. Shelf labels will show the conditions. Staff do not always announce the limits, so check labels carefully. Cashiers apply discounts based on barcode rules at checkout.

💡 GOOD TO KNOW: For expats, note that Polish supermarkets often mark promotions with clear shelf stickers. Check unit prices and expiry dates on food. You do not need a PESEL (national ID number) to shop, but you may want a payment card or cash. If you plan to stockpile, remember many items are perishable. Larger promotions like 1+1 or 4+4 are useful for non-perishables such as toilet paper and oil.

Shoppers who plan a larger shopping trip should plan for busy aisles. Weekends attract extra customers. Many locals watch dairy and meat prices closely as household budgets tighten. The strong price cut on pork shoulder may draw in families cooking for the weekend.

Always check the small print on promotional stickers. Some discounts require buying two identical packs. Others apply only to selected variants or sizes. If in doubt, ask an employee or check the store leaflet in the entrance area. The leaflet makes the dates and conditions clear.
