Rocznik 2025 exhibition at Galeria Nierzeczywista

Rocznik 2025 exhibition presents RSF members’ work at Galeria Nierzeczywista in Rzeszów, blending portraits, landscapes and community events.

The Rocznik 2025 exhibition opened in Galeria Nierzeczywista in Rzeszów on Friday, April 10. The show gathers work by members of the Rzeszów Photographic Association and highlights a full year of activity.

Rocznik 2025 exhibition: Highlights

The association chose images that reflect individual voices and shared concerns. Moreover, visitors saw portraits, landscapes, nudes, still lifes and documentary pieces. In addition, the collection included conceptual work and nature photography. Consequently, the show reads like a photographic yearbook of the city. The exhibition runs until the end of April, so you still have time to visit.

Active year for RSF

The Rzeszów Photographic Association, known as RSF, increased public programming in 2025. The group organized open meetings about photography every month. Moreover, it ran cyanotype workshops for residents. Cyanotype is a historical printing method that creates strong blue images. In addition, the RSF led group photo walks and staged monthly mini-exhibitions. The city funded some activities through the municipal office. Therefore, the program reached a wider audience than usual.

Diversity of styles and community impact

Members selected their own works for the show. This choice made the selection personal and intentional. Consequently, the exhibition gives a subjective view of 2025. The accompanying mini-album catalog premiered at the opening. In addition, the catalog will help the association promote members outside Rzeszów. The show also had an honorary patron: Fotoklub Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej. This national patronage signals recognition across Poland and helps networking opportunities.

Music, performance and atmosphere

The vernissage included a short performance by singer Anna Baiol. She performed songs from her mini-album “Od nowa” and a new single called “Jeszcze”. Her set added a lyrical layer to the evening. Moreover, the performance created an intimate mood that matched many black-and-white portraits. Visitors used the opening to exchange ideas and plan collaborations. The association president, Jerzy Skiba, opened the exhibition with a brief speech.

The gallery sits at Jana Matejki 10, in central Rzeszów. The area is easy to reach by tram or bus, and parking sits close by. However, check local schedules because cultural hours vary on public holidays.

💡 GOOD TO KNOW: If you live in Rzeszów, attending local shows helps you learn Polish cultural rhythms. Many cultural projects receive support from the Urząd Miasta (city office). For paid workshops you will usually register with an email or phone. For long-term administrative tasks, Polish institutions sometimes ask for a PESEL (national ID number). Likewise, social security and health care use other acronyms like ZUS and NFZ; ZUS manages pensions and social insurance, while NFZ runs public health funding. Generally, a passport suffices for casual cultural events.

The vernissage offered both art and social value. Therefore, the exhibition matters for newcomers who want to connect locally. It also matters for photographers seeking collaboration. Moreover, regional shows help outsiders understand how Poland funds and displays art outside Warsaw. Visit the gallery to see how Rzeszów artists view the world.
