An illegal dump on Felin near the Biedronka at ul. Królowej Jadwigi 12 has drawn fresh complaints. Residents reported that trash, including a discarded bed, has accumulated for years and continued to grow.

The site stretches from the store lot to the nearby green strip by ul. Wincentego Witosa. Consequently, photographs from a local resident show plastic bottles, glass, and bulky waste. Moreover, people keep adding refuse. Therefore neighbors fear pests and foul smells. However the situation did not improve despite prior complaints from a neighborhood councilor.

The city examined property boundaries and found municipal plots directly border private land. As a result the authority needed time to determine who must act. In addition, the Wydział Zieleni i Gospodarki Komunalnej prepared an order to remove the waste. Furthermore the office tasked contractors under its wild-dump removal agreements. Meanwhile the Straż Miejska can increase patrols in chronically polluted locations. Consequently the combination of departmental work and patrols aims to stop new dumping.

Residents, responsibility and enforcement

Locals used their neighborhood group to push the issue. Therefore they expect a visible cleanup soon. However municipal procedures take time when titles split across public and private plots. In practice the city can clean first and then seek reimbursement. Moreover the Straż Miejska can issue a mandat (fine) to people who illegally dump rubbish.
