Interactive Return: Podkarpackie Science Festival
The Podkarpackie Science and Innovation Festival returns to Jasionka on Oct 7-8, 2026, with new interactive formats and a special teacher zone.
Podkarpackie Science and Innovation Festival returns to Jasionka on 7 and 8 October 2026 at the Exhibition and Trade Center. Moreover, organisers promise more interactive formats and a dedicated space for teachers.
What to expect in Jasionka
The Podkarpackie Centre for Innovation runs the event. Consequently, the festival builds on last year’s success. In 2025 organisers attracted around ten thousand visitors. However, this edition will aim for deeper engagement. In addition, the venue sits close to Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport. Therefore, travel by plane remains quick for visitors from abroad.
Podkarpackie Science and Innovation Festival: new teacher-focused space
Organisers designed a special zone for teachers. Moreover, they partnered with the “Nauka. To lubię” Foundation. The foundation founder, Tomasz Rożek, promotes science communication in Poland. Therefore, he stresses that festivals let students learn beyond school routines. In addition, the teacher area will host workshops. Teachers will meet experts and gain classroom tools. Consequently, schools can adopt hands-on experiments that local classrooms may lack.
Science Class Battles (Naukowe Bitwy Klas)
Organisers introduce “Naukowe Bitwy Klas” this year. Teams will compete in live science challenges. Registration starts on 8 April on pcinn.org. In addition, the program begins in spring and ends with a festival final. Therefore, students will rehearse, experiment and present live. Moreover, the format shifts visitors from passive watching to active participation.
Why this matters for expats and families
For expat families, the festival offers more than shows. It offers networking and local STEM exposure. In addition, it helps children meet Polish peers in an educational setting. However, language can be a barrier. Many sessions will run in Polish. Therefore, check the program or contact organisers about English options.
Tickets and detailed schedules will appear on pcinn.org as organisers update plans. In addition, the festival will share news on social channels and through school networks. Consequently, teachers and parents should monitor registration dates. We will report further updates as they arrive.
