PKO BP makes tracking spending easier

PKO BP expense tracking now shows holds and completed transactions together, helping customers see available balance quickly.

PKO BP has rolled out an update that makes it easier for customers to monitor their spending. The bank’s new layout improves PKO BP expense tracking by merging pending holds and completed transactions into a single chronological list.

PKO BP expense tracking: What changed

PKO BP introduced a unified history view in its IKO mobile app and iPKO online service. Consequently card payments and BLIK transfers now appear together in one list. Moreover the bank no longer separates completed transactions from pending holds. Therefore customers can compare ledger balance with available funds at a glance. The app shows a padlock icon for holds. In addition the iPKO label “Zrealizowane” changed to “Ostatnie” to reflect the expanded content. This change removes confusion about why the available balance is lower than the posted balance.

How the update works in practice

Open “Account Details” in IKO to view the unified history. In addition update the app to version 3.179 or newer. For iPKO select “My Products” then “Account Operations” to reach the new list. The bank added clear graphical labels and hold descriptions. Consequently you will spot pending authorisations quickly. Moreover the change suits customers who check payments immediately after leaving a shop. Therefore you will not chase phantom missing money when a merchant posts a delayed settlement. Also the update keeps the navigation familiar so you do not relearn the interface.

Why the change matters for foreigners in Poland

Expats often face surprise holds after card payments, especially for hotels, car rentals, and petrol stations. Consequently these pre-authorisations can look like missing cash. Moreover many newcomers do not know local abbreviations such as ZUS (social security), NFZ (public health insurer), or PESEL (national ID number). Therefore people sometimes mistake scheduled debits for unexpected holds. In addition Polish customers use BLIK widely for instant transfers and merchant payments. As a result clearer transaction lists reduce stress and help with monthly budgeting. Furthermore the update helps when you pay deposits or use temporary authorisations. Therefore you should check the padlock icon before calling the bank.

💡 GOOD TO KNOW: When you open the updated IKO or iPKO history, look for the padlock icon. This icon marks a temporary hold. For expats, monitor your available balance, not only the ledger balance. Also register your PESEL if you will use local services frequently. If you pay monthly to ZUS or NFZ, check scheduled debits. Finally contact PKO BP by phone or visit a branch if a hold lasts longer than a few days.
